Historical exhibition
in the Ulrich Gardens

Warsaw pineapples and the royal beginnings of Ulrich’s heritage: the family of visionary gardeners and their greenhouses. Historical exhibition in the Ulrich Gardens.

Info ↘

The history of the Ulrich Gardens dates back to the early 19th century, when a business owned by the Ulrich family was located in the Wola district of Warsaw, known for its large greenhouses and the cultivation of pineapples, horticultural nurseries, and a beautiful show garden.

Today, the remains of the historic, pre-war building have been revitalized and transformed into a new gastronomic and entertainment concept on the map of Warsaw. In its space, an exhibition dedicated to the history of the Ulrich family is on permanent display, developed by our Studio.

The exhibition consists of ten 50×50 cm watercolor paintings, prepared by our art director Neon Neonov. They depict the Ulrich Gardens during their heyday. The illustrations were based on the photographs from the Museum of Warsaw collections. We have also prepared ten supplementary boards, containing a historical overview of the Gardens and introducing visitors to the atmosphere of the past. Each of the illustrations was carefully digitized, which allowed us to preserve its unique character while adapting it to digital use.

The exhibition is divided into three sections: the first is dedicated to the history of the Ulrich family and their business, the second to indoor cultivation (there were Warsaw’s first iron greenhouses, used, among other things, for growing pineapples, peaches, roses and even palms), and the third – to outdoor cultivation (nurseries of trees and shrubs). It can be viewed every day during the opening hours of Ulrich Gardens!
